Facebook owned quick and fastest messaging app WhatsApp will stop working and provide its facilities from 31stDecember 2017. Yes you read correct. WhatsApp has announced to put a stop on its service for a number of its users who are using these old dated handsets and operating system. The first announcement was made from WhatsApp on 2016 and then the extension for deadline was up to30 June 2017. Further on the company had extended up to 31st December 2017. In simple if the deadline actually works then the new year must be the opportunity for those to have new and updated phones after using outdated platforms with outdated operating system for a longer period of time.
Regarding this stern decision WhatsApp has stated on its blog that, “ This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends family and loved ones using WhatsApp”. The social connecting platform has suggested to upgrade the handsets to new and upgraded android, iPhone or Windows phone.
List of the handsets:-
Now the most important, talking about the handsets to be counted in the list of outdated platform. BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Windows 8.0 and older phones as per the announcement.

How to back up the chat history of these phones:-
You can’t move your chat history from one platform to another. If you want to have your old chat history then do it via email. Lets see the way how to do this.
Click on WhatsApp●more● chat and calls●hit back up (its now saved to your one drive account. You may export any particular chat with any contact or any group. Then you have to follow the steps..)
